Write me, I'm yours!: WHO ARE WE?

Write me, I’m yours!
Community Journal Project
Welcome to Write me, I’m yours!, a community-based effort founded by writer Michelle Dunford, who seeks to unite writers within various communities through the use of poetry, writing prompts and journal entries, and a wider audience of readarounds and blogs.
Who is Michelle Dunford? Michelle Dunford is a writer from Bridgetown, pursuing a capstone project in conjuction with Starfire U.  Her capstone includes seeking ways to deepen relations within surrounding communities and be an integral part of those places.  She chose to do so through writing and sharing.
What is the Write me, I’m yours! project? The mission of this project is to bring together writers and their words, through the placement of a journal in settings such as schools, coffee shops, churches, seniors centers, libraries, and inspire patrons to respond to the prompts offered in the journal.
How does Write me, I’m yours!, work?   Each journal, containing a separate theme, is hosted by a venue, which will display the journal and encourage patrons to participate. The Journal contains a predetermined writing prompt, for the public to respond to, on paper provided.
What will happen to the written pieces? The front of each journal states the purpose of the project and informs writers of this use of their work. Writers will be asked for their signature, but may remain anonymous. Writings will be collected on a bi-weekly basis, and may be posted to the project’s blog throughout the project.  An anthology will be produced at project’s end.
Write me, I’m yours!, will also culminate in two readarounds throughout the city, where authors will be invited to read their works in a public setting.
